Management Types

I’ve always had a natural dislike for people who manage people. These are people who are masters of double-talk, vague-speak, and overall undecipherable talk that generally sounds good. I’m talking about the kind of speak that makes the speaker sound informed on the topic without ever giving any insight into the truth of the matter. These are people who, when asked anything, will give you a long winded explanation that will not give you the slightest answer!

Frustrations

You study for 4 years. Subject yourself to a variety of stress tests.. to see how much your body can handle. Late nights, early mornings… cram sessions.. Endless hours spent peering at a monitor. At first the experiences are too fun, and you don’t have a bigger picture. But what next?
How about a job? no, thank you.
But you’ll be bored at home, and you have to contribute to society! Fine!

Now you’re stuck in a farm of cubicles, peering into many screens. You go in every morning, determined to do something useful. You end up spending your time pointlessly playing around. Pointlessly typing away at your keyboard. So this is what it’s like to be part of society. What happened to all the energy you had, the enthusiasm? As the saying goes…
“bezar dareh koozeh abesho bokhor”
( بذار در کوزه آبشو بخور  ).
These days I try to live my life through other people’s lives. Reading other people’s real experiences on their websites. Watching people live their lives on TV. A while back I was reading about a guy who studied the same thing as myself in university, but got tired of the monotonous life, and opted to be a bike messenger. And by sheer coincidence, I got in touch with another friend who is in south America, going from country to country, and living the hell out of life!

Fairy Tales

Fairy Tales:
The basis for most children novels and the real reality of our lives. We live most of our lives within ourselves thinking alone or simply watching the world, but always alone. It is also amazing how much of that life is not reality, or to be more specific how all of it is not reality. For if you analyze your own thoughts most of it is based on what you thought you saw or heard and how you interpret it and might or might not have anything to do with truth. As time goes on the more confused and muddled our thoughts become on a specific topic and the details (the realities) become lost in the vastness of our minds and only sometimes re-surface only to haunt us, or in this day and age we see the reality in a personal photo or video.

Laziness

In my infinite laziness, I’ve managed to put off doing anything useful since I’ve started working. This meant no updates to this site, no productive work done at home (the productiveness of what I do from 8:30-4:30 is the subject of another entry, probably). But all that said, I managed to migrate my website from it’s previous location to this new host. The speed should be considerably higher, and I’m generally happier with the way things are.

If anyone is wondering about the Feb 17 post, I did put it up on that date, but my website was down and I guess no one other than myself would’ve known about it.
